A moving relationship

A transit occurs when a current planetary position forms an aspect to a natal position. Slow planets can remain near an aspect for months; the Moon moves much more quickly. Asteria lists close current-to-natal aspects for a saved chart.

Orb and exactness

An orb is the permitted distance from an exact aspect angle. Tighter orbs produce fewer, more specific matches. Asteria uses a two-degree orb for personal transits and publishes its aspect definitions. A matching angle is a calculation; the interpretation is symbolic.

Timing without determinism

Use transit themes as journal prompts and opportunities to reflect. A transit does not establish that an event will occur. Decisions about health, safety, money, and relationships should be grounded in reliable information and your circumstances.
