A distinct tradition

Jyotisha is a diverse Indian astrological tradition with its own texts, lineages, and methods. Many practitioners use a sidereal zodiac, lunar mansions called nakshatras, divisional charts, and planetary period systems called dashas.

Avoid simple translation

Changing a Western chart’s sign labels is not a complete Vedic reading. Ayanamsha choice, divisional chart rules, and timing methods need specialist study. Asteria provides an educational introduction, not computed Vedic predictions.
