What it describes
A ninety-degree relationship symbolizes tension between different needs or methods. Squares can motivate practice and change. Avoid treating them as defects: a reading can ask how both needs can be expressed without one defeating the other.
How Asteria calculates it
The shortest angular separation between two planetary longitudes is compared with 90°. A match is included when the difference is at most 6°. The remaining difference is the orb. Orbs are conventions and differ between schools; Asteria’s chart includes major and selected minor longitude aspects.
