What it describes
Two planets occupy nearby zodiacal longitudes. Their symbols combine, intensify, or compete for the same channel. A conjunction is not automatically easy or difficult: consider the planets involved and the rest of the chart.
How Asteria calculates it
The shortest angular separation between two planetary longitudes is compared with 0°. A match is included when the difference is at most 8°. The remaining difference is the orb. Orbs are conventions and differ between schools; Asteria’s chart includes major and selected minor longitude aspects.
