What it describes
A forty-five-degree minor aspect is often interpreted as a quieter form of tension. Use a narrow orb and consider whether major aspects already explain the same theme before giving it special weight.
How Asteria calculates it
The shortest angular separation between two planetary longitudes is compared with 45°. A match is included when the difference is at most 2°. The remaining difference is the orb. Orbs are conventions and differ between schools; Asteria’s chart includes major and selected minor longitude aspects.
